In 2010, while teaching at a high-performing school in New York City,
I became completely overwhelmed.

The workload was intense, the expectations were high, and
I felt like I was suffocating under the pressure.

Waves of self-doubt and second guessing myself began flooding my mind.
What was wrong with me?
Why was everything feeling so hard?
Why wasn't I happy like all the other teachers?

Not only was I driving myself into extreme anxiety, my self-worth and self-esteem hit rock bottom.​

On a Monday morning, I walked into the school, sat down with the principal and gave my two weeks notice.

​90 days later, I started my first business, Teacher on the Go!
​
And in 2013, The Non-Nine-to-Five™ was born.

Over the past 15 years — leaving the 9-5 world, building my own businesses, and supporting exceptional individuals in pursuing their self-employment passions — I began to see a pattern.
