In the summer of 1986, I made a decision about myself that:
I was Not Liked.
I was Not Wanted.
I was Not Good Enough.
On a bright sunny day at the wee age of 6, I walked to the front door of my childhood home, looked outside, and saw my three friends playing kickball in front of my house YET no one had invited me to play.
I stood there, staring out the glass door wondering, Why?
In that moment a voice in my head raged. “No one likes you!” “You are too weird!” “You are not athletic enough!” “You are stupid!”
For the first time in my life, I experienced “inner adversity.”
We all experience varying levels of adversity throughout or lives.
Bullied in school.
Rejected by a family member.
The loss of someone close.
Inner adversity is when the adverse experience comes from within, usually in the form of a voice saying nasty and hostile things to us:

You’re such a loser.
You’ll never be able to succeed.
You’re not smart enough.
You’ll never be as good as people on social media.
Why can’t you just get it together?
Personally, my inner adversities have far outweighed my outer adversity experiences and while I am grateful that this has been the case, the extreme level of inner adversity I have experienced has brought me to dark depressive times in my life.
How does this connect to The Non-Nine-to-Five™ journey?
If you feel you are meant to start your own business...
If you feel you are meant to impact the lives of others in your own unique way...
If you feel that your job, its structures, rules, regulations, etc. are not for you...
I can pretty much guarantee you are going to face voices that say:
You can’t quit your job. You’re not good enough to start your own business. Even if you did, do you think you would actually be successful? No one would want what you have to offer. You’re not smart enough to do this. Who do you think you are?
Because of my personal hands on experience with inner adversity and my years of re-training my brain, doing deep and rigorous work on myself, I've become a master at NOT letting the voice take me away from my vision.
At The Non-Nine-to-Five™ you are backed by a community of like-minded women who are no stranger to this voice, you are receiving education and training to continue moving forward, and you have a master coach who has years of personal experience (that's me!).
