time to say goodbye

Earlier this week I spoke for the non-profit organization Dress for Success. During my talk I shared the story of how at the age of six, I made a decision that I wasn't good enough, a moment etched in my mind forever.

I began believing that I was less than, not smart enough, and not capable enough to achieve my goals.

This then shaped the trajectory of my life. It wasn't until about 20 years later that I started to unravel this ridiculous decision little six year old me made.

Now at the age of 43 it's time to say goodbye to that decision. It's time we ALL say goodbye to that decision (or any like it).

The belief that something is inherently wrong with us can feel so real and do so much damage. It's also a huge reason why at The Non-Nine-to-Five™ we DO NOT JUST focus on self-employment. We focus on ALL of you. We have got to get to the root of your concerns, the root of your doubts, the root of why you keep second guessing yourself.

If we don't, trying to create self-employment or follow any calling for that matter will feel like pushing a massive boulder up a mountain.

If you're ready to say goodby, know you can not do it on your own, and are willing to invest the time, energy, and resources it takes to say goodbye to your younger self know that my hand is held out to you.

Seeing you Successfully Self-Employed,

- Jen
