When I was in the beginning stages of starting The Non-Nine-to-Five™ I figured I would create a website, people would find me through that website, and we would be working together.
As preposterous as this may sound, I really thought clients would fall out of the sky.
No one had taught me the ins and outs of both starting and running a business.
I had a vision for the business, I knew the work was heartfelt, I knew there was a need for it, and I knew I was meant to follow the call BUT no clue what the REAL steps were to take.
UNTIL...
I made a decision to invest in support. Once I actually stopped trying to do it on my own, stopped pretending I knew what it took, stopped struggling to put the pieces together and wait for clients to fall out of the sky everything began to change.
I was equipped with a plan, tools, systems, AND I began to change my own thinking. I learned that NOTHING happens overnight, that if you truly want to be in business for yourself you must be committed for the long haul, you must be willing to take radical actions, you must be willing to transform your old ways of thinking.
